Cancellation Policy
Gortnabool is a whole-property booking. When you reserve dates, those dates are taken off the calendar for everyone else. Because of this, we operate a non-refundable booking policy and strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.
Booking and payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. All payments are non-refundable.
Cancellation terms
- All cancellations, regardless of timing, forfeit 100% of the booking fee.
- No-shows and early departures: no refund.
Changes to bookings
Date changes are at the sole discretion of the owner and subject to availability. Any change is treated as a cancellation and rebooking unless agreed in writing.
Insurance
Guests are strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, and personal liability. Gortnabool will not refund bookings cancelled due to illness, travel disruption, change of circumstance, or any other reason.
Force majeure
In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond either party’s control — including but not limited to government restrictions, natural disasters, or property damage rendering the accommodation uninhabitable — Gortnabool will offer a credit valid for twelve months from the original arrival date. No cash refunds will be issued.
